Brick Tinting,
Marylebone, Central London.
As part of the renovation of this central London office building into a modern shared work space we carried out a brickwork colour change of the external brick facade in order to create a more contemporary facade.
We created a number of sample panels for the architect and client to choose from, including sample panels that involved tinting the brick and the mortar to different colours.
The final decision was made though to tint both the brick and mortar to the same matt finish in a shade slightly darker than traditional slate blue.
As opposed to masonry paint that lays onto of the brick/mortar, tinting socks into the brick itself, creating a permanent, maintenance free finish that also looks much more natural than a painted facade.
